Personal Statement

A Deputy General Manager in a big gem ＆ Jewelry company, I have had nearly five-year working experience. With interest in business administration and my long-cherished dream of being a pioneer in Chinese booming business field, I am writing to apply for Pre-master at your reputable university. I am sure that my following words will give you some help to evaluate me and this statement will also be a step further for fulfilling my dream.

Born on February 08, 1976 in an intellectual family, I am an inborn acuminous and curious person. With interest in science, I have been researching Physics and Astronomy by myself, which gives me great help to cultivate my capacity of analyzing and challenging. Interesting in drawing, playing the trumpet and hand making kites, I formed my personality of optimism and I am positive to meet any difficulty. I therefore got many honors, such as Excellent Honor in Erwang Cup National Seal Cutting Contest, The Third Prize in National Children Art and Calligraphy Contest, the First Prize of College Students Art Exhibition, the Second Prize in Kite-making Game, and so on. As a student leader from my primary school, I had distinguished from my fellows with my strong ability of organizing, communicating and leading. What worth mentioning is that I was always a top student although I had much extracurricular work to do. With outstanding achievements in National College Entrance Examinations, I was matriculated in Tianjin University of Commerce in September 1995, majoring in Business Administration, which was my heart-design specialty. My major is comprehensive and practical. Its aim is to cultivate all-round boniness administration talents who have knowledge of management, economics, engineering, science and law. With four-year training, I grasped systematic knowledge and methods of business management. Owing to the high requirement of English, I improved my English level greatly in this period. Equipped with strong adaptability and study ability, I kept myself as a top student.

University is a stage on which I could put my talent fully. With the interest in astronomy, I founded Astronomy Fans’ Club at university. In 1990s, information technology was booming in China. Passionate for it, I established Triones Office to research the application of computer. Through unremitting effort, my ability of computer application distinguished highly from my classmates at that time, which was a crucial factor for my later work in the first-class IT companies after graduation in 1999.

My first job was in China Education Electronic Corporation for two years. Industrious and intelligent, I was exalted to business elite from a common staff member. I once represented our company to organize and carry out more than thirty projects and worked as department manager in provincial subsidiaries, vice executive officer, etc. During this period, I organized a benefitial activity named Rural Schools’ net Project. I, with my colleagues, collected and installed the elimination computer assemblies and gave them to rural students, which was a volunteer activity and appreciated by many important leaders. Unlimited in one company, I transferred to Tsinghua Tongfang Co., Ltd in August 2001, a listed company, responsible for researching, developing, delivering and depositing the new products. As a senior product manager and project manager, I paid much attention to my work and got unanimous acclamation of my colleagues.

With realization of practice myself in different fields and cultivate my overall ability, I altered to work as Deputy General Manager in Libao Gem ＆ Jewelry Co., Ltd in August 2002 and have been charging for managing stores and cooperating with other companies till now.

With these years’ study and working experience, I am now able to play as both a team leader and a team player. Dreaming to contribute more to Chinese business, I am determined to further my study abroad. Understanding the first-class education facility and good academic air in Britain, I chose it as my destination. As one of venerable universities, your university is famous in the world.
